Disk Space

You get plenty of space to store your text, database files and images. If you host multiple websites (which is easily done) you can allocate quotas of space to particular websites. Basic plans get 4GB and premium plans offer more, if you need it.

Bandwidth

This is the amount of data that users may download from your site. You need smooth flow of your data to users, and there's plenty of supply. If your site turns out to be really popular and thousands of users are using up all the bandwidth, you can purchase more. It would be great if your site is that popular. But for most users, the standard bandwidth will be plenty. On the Basic plan you get 60GB per month and premium plans offer more, if you need it.

Domains & Subdomains

You can have as many domains and subdomains as you can use. An example of a domain is mywebsite.com and examples of subdomains are television.mywebsite.com and contact.mywebsite.com. You must purchase domain names separately from a domain name registrar but you can then use them on your webhosting account. If you own the domain name, then subdomains are free and, using our hosting service, you can set up as many as you wish.

MySQL Databases

MySQL is the world's most popular open source database. MySQL is accessible on all sites hosted under all plans. Many web applications use databases. Even if you don't understand how to use them, there are programs that can run automatically if they have access to databases. The number and size of your databases is unlimited while you remain within the allocated disk space. (It is unlikely you would need more space but, if you did, you could easily upgrade to a higher plan.)

Mail and FTP Users

There is no limit to the number of E-mail accounts you can have (or offer to family, clients, customers etc.) Similarly there is no limit to the number of people to whom you may give access to upload/download files provided it is within the disk space and bandwidth that you have purchased.

Anonymous FTP

Uploading or downloading of files is not necessarily restricted to known users. With anonymous FTP you may permit anyone to upload or download files, if you wish.

E-Mail Aliases

You may create e-mail addresses which are special forwarding addresses. For example, there may be regular changes in your sales staff so you publish an e-mail such as sales@mywebsite.com. This never needs to be changed but you may direct the mail to trevor@mywebsite.com this month and then to next month but customers have the convenience of sending e-Mail to a single easy-to-remember address.

E-Mail Auto-Responders

You may set up automatic responses to e-mails received. Try sending an message at Contact ThreeBlues and you will receive an automatic response to let you know your message has been received prior to any follow-up e-mail message at a later time.

Webmail

You can set up e-mail so that users can access their mail from any computer without needing to be at their own computer at work or at home.

Spam Assassin

This is an e-mail filter than can assist in reducing junk mail.

Dedicated Static IP Address*

A dedicated static IP address may be required for a few special uses. If needed, it is available subject to certain requirements being satisfied,

Domain Aliases

Domain Aliases allow you to assign more than one domain name to a single web site e.g. "threeblues.com" and "3blues.com" may both point to the same website. You may have as many domain names as you want (if you control them, of course) pointing at any of your websites.
